Welcome my name is Coy

My journey to becoming a birth worker was originally inspired by my curiosity of anatomy. In 2016 I transitioned careers to teaching yoga, and soon after began teaching prenatal yoga. Helping support pregnant people in their yoga practice sparked my interest in childbirth and led me to complete a birth doula training with DONA International in 2020. After witnessing and assisting families with childbirth, I entered my own maternity period and became a mother in 2023. It was through my own postpartum experience that inspired me to expand my offerings into postpartum care. In 2023 I decided to continue my education by joining a birth and postpartum doula training with Doula Thrive, expanding my offerings as a birth worker and postpartum care provider. My technique when working with families is to blend my yogic knowledge with my education from the programs I’ve taken, along with my personal experience as a mother to fully support people in becoming a parent. My philosophy in this work is to treat every parent with love and compassion, and to offer my deep presence as they bring life into the world.
